These Caladiums are very showy with their unusual colors and patterns.   Dwarf Elephant Ear, Angel Wings, Heart of Jesus, 'Thai Beauty' Much sturdier and more substantial than other Caladiums, 'Thai Beauty' is an Dwarf Elephant's Ear with the compact, neat habit for which Caladiums are loved! Talk about the best of both worlds -- you get giant leaves of pink-and-white that hold up beautifully on plants less than 2 feet high! These leaves emerge green in spring, but quickly begin assuming their bright, eye-catching hues. Expect them to reach 8 to 10 inches long and up to 5 inches wide by early summer, with fabulous waxy texture that holds up nicely no matter how hot and humid your summer gets. The plant is 20 inches high and 18 to 24 inches wide -- just right for containers, but showy enough for the front of the border, bulb garden, patio, and other high-visibility garden spots! Thai Beauty Caladium prefers bright indirect sunlight. The tubers can over winter in the ground in zones 10-11. It is recommended to lift the tubers in zone 9 and below. If the plant goes dormant, it will wake from dormancy once the soil temperature reaches about 55 Fahrenheit. As a house plant, it will need bright light and evenly moist soil. Easy to grow and propagate from bulbs that the plant produces year after year.	Hardiness Zone - 8 - 11 Bloom - Not significant. Winter - Below 50°F this plant may go dormant. Frost may kill the tubers. This plant may have cold damage on the leaves below 45 Fahrenheit. Mature height - Grows to 24" Sun - Thrives in light shade. Water - This plant prefers an even, moist soil. The soil should never dry out completely. Fertilizer - Use a balanced fertilizer. This plant is a medium feeder. Soil - Use a well draining professional mix. Container - This is an excellent container plant.

LIVE PLANTS ARE PERISHABLE. For this reason uninsurable.         When you order a plant we assume you are prepared to care for it. Please have potting media and a container prepared for your plant before it arrives. Shipping can be stressful on a plant, and any mistakes that you make upon arrival can stress the plant further, which is not good. Proper care is critical upon arrival. It is your responsibility to know how to care for the plant. Not every plant that I order through the mail survives, and I am aware of that and accept the risk when I order. This is the risk that you as the buyer accept, because there is no way to know what kind of conditions it will endure in the trip to your door. My responsibility ends when a live plant is delivered to your door. Live arrival is guaranteed, eternal survival is up to you.  Do NOT email me a week after potting your plant, and make a claim it arrived damaged.
